TV One has announced their new original film titled THREE’S COMPLICATED starring Shanola Hampton (Shameless), Tyler Lepley (Benny Young, The Haves and the Have Nots) and Kyanna Simone Simpson (Black Lightning).
The film is executive produced by Hampton and follows the story of the complicated love story of 42-year-old divorcee Deja (Hampton) who after a bad day and one too many drinks has a whirlwind weekend fling with a man ten years her junior, Woodson (Lepley). That wouldn’t be so bad until she suspects she might be pregnant and discovers that her weekend lover may be her daughter’s (Simpson) new beau.
THREE’S COMPLICATED was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia and features a dynamic cast, including Charles Malik Whitfield (Lushion, If Loving You Is Wrong) as Craig, Leland Jones (Greenleaf) as Dick, Shari Headley (Jennifer, The Haves and the Have Nots) in the role of Imani, Yohance Myles (Shots Fired) as Renaldo and more. Slated to premiere in January 2019, THREE’S COMPLICATED is written and directed by Shari Lynette Carpenter. The film is produced for TV One by Eric Tomosunas, who serves as executive producer along with Shanola Hampton, Darien Baldwin, Keith Neal, James Seppelfrick and Gingi Rochelle of Swirl Films. Casting support was provided by George Pierre and Casting Director Leah Daniels-Butler. For TV One, Tia A. Smith is the Executive in Charge and Sr. Director of Original Programming & Production; Donyell Kennedy McCollough is Sr. Director of Talent, and Robyn Greene Arrington is Interim Head of Original Programming and Production.
