From soap opera actress to directing and now writing scripts, Heather Tom is a star in the world of soap operas—all while managing to also star as Katie Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful!
Tom, a six-time Emmy award-winning actress, revealed the news during a live chat with colleague Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) on Michael Fairman’s YouTube Channel. While reminiscing about her directing the episode with Sheila in the crematorium—Tom quipped, “I’m directing more episodes. I’m actually also writing (for the show). So I just finished my third script. That’s kind of a new development.”
Tom isn’t the only star from the show doing scriptwriting—her fellow thespian, Lawrence Saint-Victor, who plays Carter Walton, also writes for the show. Meanwhile, the genius behind all the dramatic twists, Brad Bell, isn’t just the head writer, but also moonlights as the executive producer!
