“Crying, screaming, throwing up” is the reaction of former The Young and the Restless star Hunter King (ex-Summer Newman), who will become a series regular for a new CBS sitcom if things go as planned! According to Deadline, King is set to appear in the season finale of The Neighborhood on CBS. The same episode will serve as a backdoor pilot for a potential spin-off series of the popular primetime sitcom.
King will be joined by Kara Royster, Angelique Cabral, and Justin Long as guest stars in the season 7 finale. All of whom have options of becoming series regulars alongside Sheaun McKinney and Marcel Spears—that is, if the network greenlights the project.
King is set to play Bellamy, a sardonic stoner who works for a cannabis boutique. The character is described as fun, hilarious, and a fiercely loyal friend. Long will play Bruce, Royster will play Matisse, and Cabral will take on the role of Lisa.
Hunter King Joins The Neighborhood
Understandably ecstatic about her new gig, King said on Instagram, “Thank you to Aaron Kaplan and CBS for this amazing opportunity. This cast is unbelievable, and I feel so lucky to get to act alongside of them. AHHH, someone pinch me!”
