Terri Garber-Roudebush is an American actress, born in the cool area of Miami, Florida in 1960. She is probably best known for her role as Ashton Main in “Heaven & Hell: North & South, Book III. Many daytime fans, however, would remember her as Iris Drumbrowski on ‘As the World Turns’, Victoria Parker on ‘General Hospital’, Leslie Carrington on ‘Dynasty’ and Suzanne Collier on ‘Santa Barbara’. Her last acting credit was in 2014 but Soap Opera News caught up with her to talk about life as it now, her acting past, if she would return to daytime and more.

As she reflected on her daytime acting career she shared, “I love doing daytime. Some of the best actors are on daytime. I loved the challenge of learning ALL those lines and creating a new character.” It’s been 4 years since her last acting credit and the former soap star revealed that since leaving daytime life is “always an adventure. Life is always exciting and it changes so fast.” With the changes in her life it’s been hard keeping in touch with her former co-stars as she revealed that the only person she really kept in touch with was a former behind the scenes star sharing, “one of my dearest friends was the makeup artist on ATWT. That’s about it.

In regards to a daytime return, Garber shared, “I would love to do another daytime show. I have such a good time, meet new people, and do what I love doing…acting!” Garber also took the time to reflect on her primetime and television career noting, “I love doing TV the best, I think. You only do around 9 pages in a day, which gives you the time to really delve into a character but doesn’t move too slowly. Film is slow but fun, especially when you do a scene outside. So many people are interested in what’s going on. The energy is terrific. Really rubs off on you.

Garber has been off the acting radar for quite a while and it seems she’s not headed back there anytime soon. When asked about projects on the horizon she revealed that there is none at the moment sharing, “I’m free as a bird aside from running and making a chemical free, all natural Soap company called SistersAlchemy. It’s my sister and I that make all the different and beautiful soap. Go to SistersAlchemy.com and check us out.” With that said Garber also feels that she’s not done with acting highlighting, “I could always do more. I didn’t think that aging would slow my career down, but it did. So no, I could be doing a lot more, if only the opportunities were there. Sigh.” And, as for how fans can help her get back into the world of acting she shared, “write to you’re favorite daytime show and request me. I’d love to see you all again” adding a lovely message for all her fans, “Thank you for your kindness and continued support. You guys are the best!
