A well-known actor, Bill Macy has passed away.
Macy played a cab Drive on The Edge of Night in 1966. He also played Bea Arthur’s husband, Walter on Maude. He passed away at the age of 97 on October 17, 2019. His manager, Matt Beckoff, was the one who made the announcement saying, “My buddy Bill Macy passed away at 7:13pm tonight. He was a spitfire right up to the end.”
Macy was born in Revere, Massachusetts as Wolf Martin Garber in 1922. He is survived by his wife of over four decades, Samantha Harper Macy, whom he married on May 4, 1975.
