And that’s a wrap! Michael Roark has officially exited Days of Our Lives. His final scenes as Jeremy Horton aired on April 29, 2026, marking the end of a dramatic and complicated chapter for the character.
To mark the occasion, Roark shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, featuring a mix of on-screen and behind-the-scenes moments. He captioned it, “Days fans, thanks for having me in Salem.”

Roark took over the role of Jeremy Horton on October 3, 2025, bringing the character back to the canvas for the first time since 2007. The role was previously played by Trevor Donovan, and longtime fans would no doubt recall Jeremy’s dark history.
During Roark’s tenure, we saw Jeremy go through the ups and the downs. For a while, Jeremy was the prime suspect in Stephanie’s stalking and kidnapping.
He eventually proved his innocence when he and Stephanie were kidnapped together, and he played a key role in helping her through the trauma.
However, it soon became clear that Jeremy was still harboring deep feelings for his ex, despite the fact that she is now married to Alex Kiriakis.
A Failed Plan and a Final Goodbye
In his final days in Salem, Jeremy’s true colors resurfaced. It was revealed that he lured Joy back to town to drop a massive bombshell: Alex is a father.
Jeremy clearly hoped that blowing up Stephanie’s marriage would pave the way for a reunion between them.
Unfortunately for him, the plan backfired. Once Stephanie put the pieces together, she didn’t run into Jeremy’s arms; instead, she gave him a piece of her mind.
Realizing there was no future for him there, Jeremy decided it was time to leave Salem behind. After all, it was the original plan. In his very last scenes, he opened up to Julie before heading out of town.
Roark’s colleagues were quick to show their support on his farewell post. Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) commented, “Pleasure to have ya, dude,” while Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark) said, “Come back soon.”
