Oprah Winfrey’s mother, Vernita Lee has passed away. According to reports, her mother died in her home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thanksgiving at the age of 83.
Lee was born on May 2, 1935, and worked as a housekeeper throughout her life. She is the mother of 4 children, 3 girls, and 1 boy. Only two of her children are alive today which includes; Oprah and Patricia Amanda Faye Lee. It is also said that Lee has been laid to rest in a private funeral.
