Performer of the Week
Congratulations to General Hospital’s Josh Swickard as Harrison Chase for being Performer of the Week for October 9, 2023!
For two weeks straight Swickard has taken the audience on an emotional journey as Chase learns of his father Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) ALS diagnosis. What he done on screen can only be considered required for an Emmy reel for 2024.
Between commanding the screen solo in powerful and wordless depictions of love, admiration, and impending loss paired with heart-wrenching scenes with Amanda Setton (BrookLynn Quartermaine), Swickard has is well deserved of the spotlight this week!
Honorary Mentions!
Oh, what a week it was! Can we talk about the amazing performance delivered by Annika Noelle this week as her alter ego, Hope Logan, discovered her father’s secret that he is in love with Sheila on The Bold and the Beautiful? Noelle is a top-notch actress and continues to show us why we all love her. She was fabulous and displayed the perfect range of emotions, including anger, disappointment, and disbelief. But it was that moment when she tried to reach Deacon’s heart that really grabbed us. Again, Tanner Novlan wowed us in his portrayal as Finn when Deacon and Sheila revealed their relationship to him at Il Giardino. It was another “oh, boy!” moment, but Tanner did not disappoint. Jamie Martin Mann may be new to daytime soap operas, but he didn’t miss a beat as Tate Black returned to Salem and learned that his father was going to make him work due to being expelled from school. Mann already has us intrigued, and we can’t wait to see what else he does. Congrats to all on getting the honorary mentions this week!
