Big news for Days of Our Lives fans: the role of Theo Carver has been recast again! This time, it’s a temporary swap, with General Hospital alum Tajh Bellow stepping in for Tyler Joseph Andrews.
Key Takeaways
- Tajh Bellow is temporarily replacing Tyler Joseph Andrews as Theo Carver.
- Bellow’s Theo debut airs Tuesday, October 6.
- The recast is only for one episode.
- Andrews was unavailable to film the episode last December.
- Bellow previously played TJ Ashford on General Hospital.
Tajh Bellow Is Temporarily Taking Over as Theo
According to TV Insider, Bellow will make his debut as Theo on the Tuesday, October 6 episode of the Peacock soap, sharing scenes with Cherie Jimenez as Gabi. The one-episode recast happened because Andrews was unavailable to film back in December. Given the show’s advance shooting schedule, that episode is finally airing next week.
Tyler Joseph Andrews made his first appearance as the legacy character on September 9, 2025. He took over the role following runs by Cameron Johnson and Kyler Pettis, who previously won a Daytime Emmy Award for his memorable portrayal of Theo.
Bellow is certainly no stranger to the fast-paced world of daytime TV. He earned two Daytime Emmy nominations for his run as TJ Ashford on General Hospital, a role he stepped into on November 20, 2018. Stepping in as a recast isn’t new territory for him either, since he originally took over the role of TJ on GH from Tequan Richmond.
This news comes right on the heels of the announcement that Bellow, alongside former The Young and the Restless actress Loren Lott, has joined a new microseries titled The Compatibility Experiment, which premieres October 14.
