Ultimately, after careful consideration, we have singled out a trio of exceptional talents: Emily O’Brien (Theresa, Days of our Lives), Paul Telfer (Xander), and Laura Wright (Carly, General Hospital), as the standout performers of the week. Additionally, we were treated to impressive work from Robert Scott Wilson (Alex), Colton Little (Andrew), Serena Scott Thomas (Fiona), and Sharon Case (The Young and the Restless).
Performer of the Week: General Hospital’s Laura Wright
Laura Wright, a daytime Emmy award-winning actress, delivered yet another superb performance this week as Carly learned that Jason had obtained the evidence needed to free himself from the FBI’s control, but instead, John Cates demanded that Jason leave town and return to Quantico — something, Carly was not about to sit back and watch happen. Wright skillfully portrayed Carly’s inner turmoil, capturing a wide range of emotions and keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Her performance was nothing short of a masterclass and riveting, to say the least.
Paul Telfer
Paul Telfer absolutely owned the screen this week! The reveal that his character was Victor’s son, gave Telfer a time to shine — and that’s exactly what he did. His captivating performance, from the dramatic glass-throwing moment at the Kiriakis mansion to the intense airport showdown with Xander and Theresa, showcased his exceptional talent — one, we had no doubt of! Bravo, Paul!
Emily O’Brien
O’Brien has delivered another riveting performance. Her onscreen alter ego, Theresa, was exposed on her wedding day, and O’Brien’s portrayal showcased her exceptional acting abilities. She clearly captivated audiences with a display of raw emotion. Her performance has left a lasting impact on soap opera fans across the world and left her with an Emmy reel for next year’s big event.
