The 14th Annual Daytime Stars and Strikes Event for Autism was held this past weekend. The event, as per usual, allowed former Guiding Light stars to reunite and meet and greet with fans.
The Weekend event line-up included:
- Sing it for Autism Karaoke Event held on October 5, 2018 at The Residence Inn Secaucus Meadowlands – 800 Plaza Drive, Secaucus, NJ. This was hosted by As the World Turns alum, Lauren B. Martin
- Mini Meet and Greet held on October 6, 2018 at The Residence Inn Secaucus Meadowlands – 800 Plaza Drive, Secaucus, NJ. The stars included; Michael O’ Leary (ex-Rick Bauer), Anne Sayre, Yvonna Kopacz Wright (ex-Mel Boudreau) and Daniel Cosgrove (ex-Bill Lewis III).
- Breathing Under Dirth held on October 6, 2018 at The Residence Inn Secaucus Meadowlands – 800 Plaza Drive, Secaucus, NJ. This was hosted by Michael O’Leary and featuring several soap faves.
- Bloss Bruch held on October 7, 2018 at Residence Inn, Secaucus, NJ. This was hosted by Jerry verDorn (ex-Ross Marler) and Elizabeth Keifer (ex-Blake Thorpe).
- The 3rd Annual Bauer BBQ held on October 7, 2018 at The Residence Inn Secaucus Meadowlands – 800 Plaza Drive, Secaucus, NJ.This was also hosted by Michael O’Leary.
The event’s official Facebook page wrote, “Huge shout out to all the wonderful people who made Daytime Stars and Strikes 2018 a huge success! The Elves, the participants, the actors, the hotel staff, the venue – THANK YOU!! You helped us raise nearly $25,000.00 for the Autism Society of America! Here are a few photos of the Third Annual Bloss Brunch hosted by Liz Keifer-Convertino and Jerry VerDorn and The Third Annual Bauer BBQ hosted by Michael O’Leary. Way to go! We did it and we are not done yet – we will have additional items available before we end our year – stay tuned. #DSS2018“.
