Soap operas are known for keeping many across the globe entertained with love stories, dramatic twists, shocking revelations, and major secrets. It’s always been a thing for soaps. For decades, in fact.
But when it comes to secrets, there are just some fictional characters you’d never want to know a thing or two about you. And with good reason: not everyone can keep a lid on it.
With that being said, Soap Opera News recently ran a poll asking its readers to vote for which soap character they would never trust with their secret. And we’ve got the results. Here are the top 5!

Coming in at the number one spot was none other than Fairmont Crest’s famous mischief-maker, the wig-wearing, name-changing Dana Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) on Beyond the Gates.
Clearly, you can see why fans voted her number one. The woman has a knack for inserting herself into everyone’s lives, and she can barely keep a lid on it. She says what is on her mind at any given time, and that’s no safe place for a secret you want no one to know. Leslie got 20.11% of the votes.
2 Lucy Coe (10.78%)
Following Leslie is General Hospital’s Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), and clearly, you can see why. Lucy knows how to stir the pot. She also has bad timing when it comes to keeping something under wraps.
She’s known for speaking before thinking and often finds herself caught in the middle of situations she probably should have stayed out of. That’s why she got 10.78% of the total votes.
3 Patty Williams (10.63%)
Not far behind Lucy is The Young and the Restless’ Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk\), who stole 10.63% of the votes. And again, Patty is one of the women in Genoa City who could blurt out your secret.
You never quite know when, where, or how it might come out, but there’s a good chance it will happen at the worst possible moment.
4 Nina Reeves (10.49%)
Next up is none other than another one of GH’s finest women: Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). She got 10.49% of the votes. Nina has a track record of sometimes making a mess of things. You can’t blame her. It’s true to her nature. And sometimes, clearly not intentionally, she lets secrets slip into the wrong hands.
Nina’s heart is often in the right place, but her actions don’t always work out the way she intends.
5 Anna DiMera (7.04%)
Stealing the fifth spot with a total of 7.04% of the votes is Days of Our Lives’ Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley). Like many of the others in the top five, Anna doesn’t know how to keep a secret… at least, not for too long.
Just ask Gabi Hernandez, for example. Although Gabi has no idea just yet that it was Anna who ousted her, she’s going to flip once she does.
