As previewed in Monday’s GH promo for the week, Sidwell made it clear: he wanted to shut down Sonny’s influence in Port Charles, which is why he was so eager to make the purchase. The conversation grew tense as Sidwell claimed he wanted to expand his business in the city, not with monthly mob shootouts, but with jobs and commerce. He said he was offering Sonny a chance to walk away richer and cleaner.
But when Sidwell brought up the loss of one of Sonny’s sons, the tension hit a new level. Sonny asked if he was threatening his family. Sidwell insisted he wasn’t; he just meant that once Sonny gave up the piers, his family would be safe. When Sidwell asked if they had a deal, Sonny said no. He made it clear: his life, and his family, are in Port Charles.
