Cady McClain is one talented woman who’s list of abilities include; acting, singing, directing and writing. She’s a two-time Emmy Award winning actress who has worked for over 30 years in film, television and theater. Her most recent daytime work was on ‘The Young and the Restless’ as Kelly Andrews from 2014 – 2015. Ever since leaving the CBS daytime drama, McClain has been hard at work on “Seeing Is Believing: Women Direct”, for which she has been shooting interviews and has done outstanding work.
In 2016 she was elected to the board of The Chimaera Project which is a non profit organization that grants funds to visionary women filmmakers. She’s also been featured in a number of papers/magazines such as; TV Guide Magazine. The Daily News, New York Magazine, The Jamaica Gleaner and much more. Her series of films on women directors premiered as a short at the Newport Beach Film Festival earlier this year in April for which she won the Jury Award. The feature length version was displayed at the SOHO International Film Festival where it won the Audience Award.
A part from her hard work on her women feature, McClain played the role of Logan on ‘Venice the Series’. Fans will also remember her for her roles as; Kelly on ‘Y&R’, Dixie Martin on ‘All My Children’ and Rosana Cabot on ‘As the World Turns’.
