It would be the greatest gift of all to many daytime viewers and particularly the “Fayden” army if Rebecca Budig was ever to reprise her role as Hayden Barnes on ‘General Hospital. Finn (Michael Easton) apparently has two women in his corner and is probably headed for a love triangle. And, her sister Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) has big wedding plans so the time seems right to bring her back on the canvas – but will they? And how soon?
ABC Daytime Executive, Nathan Varni shared much on numerous subjects in his chat with Daytime After Dark and Budig were one of the subjects he spoke about.”I think it’s definitely a possibility” he shared as the subject of her return was brought up. “As you know, we left Hayden telling Finn she lost the baby but the reality of the situation was that she did not lose the baby. So I think with that cliffhanger, there’s definitely room to perhaps one day play that again,” he shared. But later said, “Obviously no guarantees. But I think the writers did a good job of kind of tying that story up and leaving a lot to be desired and that could be a potential obstacle down the road for Finn and kind of a big surprise. So we’ll have to see. But I think it’ll be a while as we’re not quite yet to that point where we’re ready to return Hayden to the canvas.” So fans, are you anxious to see Hayden return to reunite with Finn and the rest of characters?
