Things are definitely heating up on The Young and the Restless, especially as we peel back the layers of what Mariah (Camryn Grimes) was up to while she was out of town. Whatever happened during that trip is something she’s desperately trying to keep under wraps. Guilt has practically become her new full-time job — and her worst enemy — since returning to Genoa City.
She can’t shake the past, can’t talk about it, and can’t even pretend to move on. It’s that bad. All signs point to something going down at a bar — something involving a drink and a certain mystery man from those black-and-white flashbacks. (The man is played by soap legend Michael Swan.)
Y&R spoilers for Monday’s episode tease that Mariah experiences some serious déjà vu. Ian Ward (Ray Wise) might be out of sight, but definitely not out of mind. You’d think by now she’d have some closure… but no such luck.
Sharon Makes a Promise
Meanwhile, Sharon’s (Sharon Case) radar is going off — and for good reason. Mariah’s guilt is eating her alive, but she won’t open up. Not to Sharon, not to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), not even to a therapist.
So where does that leave Sharon and her big trip to France with Nick (Joshua Morrow)? Unclear. All we know is, in Monday’s episode, Sharon makes a promise to Nick — and whether she keeps it is anyone’s guess.
Phyllis Celebrates a Win
Y&R spoilers for June 9 also say Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) celebrates a win. Or at least, she thinks it’s a win. (She’s no stranger to premature celebration.)
She’s convinced she has the upper hand when it comes to Aristotle Dumas and, with that France trip on her calendar for June 13, she’s feeling pretty victorious. So, why not toast to a win?
