The black sheep of the Newman clan has declared war on his family. And there is no better way to win that battle than to take off the head of the snake…Victor Newman. The latest Soap Opera Digest reveals that Adam (Mark Grossman) will “poison” his father by replacing the medication that his father is taking with ones that are of a much higher dosage. Head Writer Josh Griffith said in the magazine that “Adam knows that Victor (Eric Braedan) is on high alert, so his plan of attack is to put Victor in a vulnerable position and then exact revenge on the rest of the family.”
During an afternoon out with his wife, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victor begins to feel tired, dizzy and short of breath. Adam, who is at Crimson Lights at the same time, witnesses the ordeal. “Seeing Victor in this condition is a reality check for Adam that not only is his plan working, but also that it comes with dangerous consequences.”
Adam, who apparently does have something resembling a heart, starts to feel just a little bit bad while watching his father suffer and he offers to help. Victor tells him to stay away knowing that he truly isn’t concerned for his well-being. Nikki even blames the “attack” on Adam’s presence which puts Adam on alert that she could be on to his wicked game.
Later at the ranch, Nate comes by to check on Victor. His notes that his vitals are normal, and takes some blood for further testing. Even though Victor is feeling better now “little does the Newman family realize, their problems are far from over when they learn shocking news about Victor’s health.”
