Hurricane Leslie Crashes Lunch

Eva (Ambyr Michelle) and Izaiah (Lami) are a team. They love each other, and they’re fully invested in a future together despite all the warnings Izaiah has been getting. On top of that, Eva knows how important it is to prove people wrong, and she’s not backing down.

Izaiah has already met her parents, and now it’s her turn. She’s about to sit down for lunch with her man and his mother.

But don’t be fooled. Darlene (Monique Mosee) already knows about Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Eva and what went down. And she doesn’t like it.

Eva Meets Darlene… But It’s Not What It Seems

Darlene might be willing to give Eva a chance for her son’s sake. Maybe. Who knows? But things are already tense before they even sit down.

Then, just as they’re trying to get through lunch, Hurricane Leslie comes crashing in—and that’s definitely not a good sign. Timing couldn’t be worse, and it’s clear Darlene won’t be a fan.

Smitty Pushes Forward While Family Drama Builds

Meanwhile, Smitty (Mike Manning) is determined to see this investigation through. He knows the risks, and he’s willing to take them anyway.

Jacob (Jibre Hordges), on the other hand, isn’t on board. He pleads with Smitty not to go rogue, but will Smitty actually listen?

Elsewhere, Beyond the Gates spoilers for April 7 tease more family tension for some. Anita (Tamara Tunie) steps in to coach Dani (Karla Mosley) through some insecurities. But not every mother-daughter moment goes smoothly.
