Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Hayley Flirts with Izaiah
First up, Hayley (Marquita Goings) runs into Izaiah (David Lami Friebe) at the Country Club, and wow, is she flirting or what? She lays it on thick, even admitting she’s “a fool for love.” But is Izaiah actually captivated by her? Could he really be drawn to Hayley after everything Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) has done for him?
Bill’s News for Thomas
Speaking of Bill, he lets Tomas (Alex Alegria) know just how much loyalty means to him before dropping a bomb: that’s exactly why he wants to talk about Tomas’ future at the firm. Tomas is stunned, but is Bill about to give him good news… or very, very bad news?
Leslie and Marcel
Elsewhere, Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) crosses paths with Detective Malone (Darryl W. Handy). He greets her with a cheeky, “Hello there, pretty lady.”
She reminds him he’s a cop, and he wonders if that’s a problem. Cut to: the two of them sharing drinks. And just when things start looking cozy, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) walks in and spots them. Jealousy incoming? Probably.

Back to Hayley, she confronts Bill after he invites her out… only for his ex-wife to be there. She wants to know how he could know she’d show up and still invite Hayley anyway. And more importantly, why would he even do that?
Speaking of Bill’s ex, Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre (Sean Freeman) have their own unexpected emergency. Smoke starts filling the air, and the two scramble to find the source of the fire. Andre grabs an extinguisher and gets to work putting it out, but what caused it in the first place?
