He opened up about his roots, sharing, “I was born and raised in Frankfort, Illinois, about 30–40-ish minutes south of Chicago. I grew up loving baseball, basketball—you name it—and so I competitively played sports. Baseball, basketball for my school, for travel… couldn’t get enough.” But sports weren’t his only passion. “I also loved acting. So at that time, locally in Chicago, there was some commercial work, a print ad, theater. Growing up, you would find me either auditioning in the theater or on the field.”
He even shared a funny throwback moment from his early career—recalling a poster campaign for a popular fast-food kid’s meal toy—before getting personal. “Last but definitely not least for me: Days of Our Lives was my late mother’s favorite show. So this one’s for you, Mom. Love you.”
