On October 7th at 7pm, Axial Theatre will present a performance of “Shirley Valentine” with three-time Emmy© winning actress Cady McClain revisiting the role she performed to acclaim at Cape May Stage earlier this summer. All proceeds from the performance will benefit Axial’s spring production of “Fool for Love” by Sam Shepard, to be directed by Rachel Jones with Catherine Banks as “May,” Anthony Barresi Jr as “Eddie,” Duane Rutter and “Martin,” and Bruce Apar as “Old Man.” The performance will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 8 Sunnyside Avenue, Pleasantville NY (a half hour from NYC). Tickets are available at: https://www.axialtheatre.org/
The Cape May Star and Wave said, “Cady McClain is masterful not only of her portrayal of Valentine but also of her distant husband, friend, and a half dozen other characters that she introduces the audience to in this not-to-be-missed play.”
On October 15th at 2pm Cady McClain will perform in the play reading “Deer” by Aaron Mark with Alfredo Narcisco. Acting Coaching by William Roudebush. This will be held at NuBox Theaater at John DeSotelle, 754 9th Avenue, New York, NY, 10019. Seating is limited but tickets are available. The story is about Upper West Side empty nesters Ken and Cynthia who hit a deer while driving to their weekend house in the Poconos. Deer is a grisly play about normal people who snap.
