We all
remember where we were when we heard the fantastic news that Colleen Zenk (As
The Word Turns) was returning to daytime and would be appearing on The
Young and the Restless. Our Canadian soap family, “spilled the beans” and
set soap social media ablaze. After thirteen years, Zenk was going to grace our
daytime screens again.
Zenk
portrays villainess, “Aunt Jordan,” who came in like gangbusters, drugging
Nikki (via Claire) then keeping her tied up and tied to an IV of vodka and then
luring Victor, Nick and Victoria into her trap and then drugging them too! Oh,
and Cole Howard was back, too. After the ordeal was contained, the cops searched
the house, but Aunt Jordan wasn’t to be found. But the good news is the audience
saw her face lurking behind a vent casing. So, we figured she will be back…and
she will be.
Recently,
Zenk was interviewed by Alan Locher for The Locher Room, with a
Genoa City sign and Y&R logo as the backdrop and her Y&R
mug in hand. During the interview, Locher and Zenk touched on a little bit of
everything; Zenk’s days at As The World Turns “ATWT” and her portrayal
of the “Barbara Ryan”, her call with Josh Griffith (Executive Producer, Y&R)
about coming to the show, working with her new co-stars and more.
When
Griffith reached out to Zenk, he pitched an outline, backstory and where they
planned to go with Aunt Jordan and Zenk was all in from day one. She told
Locher there was no “hesitation” on her part. Zenk said she felt the role was a
“good fit” and the “timing was right” for her return to daytime.
Unless
you have been living under a rock, you have seen and heard the ecstatic
euphoria that has erupted with Zenk’s return. Zenk expressed her gratitude for
all the support and outpouring of love she has received and is so grateful for
how everyone has welcomed her back with open arms.
Also,
during the interview, Zenk shared some of the personal tragedies and
difficulties she has faced. As someone expressed, Zenk is a survivor. We admire
her strength and fortitude to keep on keeping on and we send love and light her
way.

Zenk
promised there is a lot more to come from “Aunt Jordan” and promised she is
