Former ‘Days of Our Lives’ actress, Molly Burnett is set for a lead role in a new upcoming feature film. Fans will get to see a whole new side of her as she plays the role of Dolly in the film “Dolly & Otto” also referred to as Man in the Attic. The upcoming 1920’s centered-drama is currently being filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. Filming for “Dolly & Otto” is set to wrap on September 8, 2017.
The film is based on true events and centers the early 1900’s. It tells the story of Walburga “Dolly” Oesterreich [Burnett], an unhappy married woman who is married to a wealthy textile manufacturer Fred Oesterreich. Dolly carries out an affair with a younger man name Otto Sanuber and their affair lasts for 10 years. She arranges for Otto to live in Fred’s attic, unbeknownst to him. Their secret affair later leads to the shooting and dearth of Mr. Oesterreich during an ugly scuffle. His death and the events that led to it is covered up by both Dolly and Otto for a number of years. While other details including a release date, other cast members and more are yet to be released it is worth noting that Kevin Fonteyne will star alongside Burnett.
