Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez, Days of Our Lives) shared on Twitter earlier today that his son had his appendix removed last week. Unfortunately, Gering and his family are facing a common problem with the health care system: the insurance company is denying coverage for his son’s operation.
Gering shared the following in a Tweet, “Hey @AnthemBCBS my son had an emergency appendectomy last week and you’ve just sent me a letter denying coverage. What is wrong with you people?! Like the surgery wasn’t stressful enough on our family now I have to fight you guys? This is pathetic. Get it together.”.
We hope Gering’s son has a full recovery and that the family can get a resolution for the cost of the surgery.
