Days of Our Lives and award-winning actor, Mike Manning (Charlie Dale) is in a new film, Son of the South being released soon. 


On Martin Luther King Day he wrote, “I think #MLKDay is a good day to tell you “Son of The South” will be out Feb. 5th. I hope it strengthens the dialogue our country is currently having about the fight for equality on all fronts. Exec produced by Oscar-winner Spike Lee. Proud of this one.”


Son of the South is a film directed by Barry Alexander Brown and written by Brown and Constance Curry. It is based on Bob Zellner’s autobiography “The Wrong Side of Murder Creek” and tells the story of a grandson of a Klansman who comes of age in the deep south and eventually joins the Civil Rights Movement.


Manning plays Townsend Ellis. Other cast members include; Julia Ormond, Lucy Hale, Sienna Guillory and more. Check out the trailer below!
