Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Friday, December 8, 2023: EJ asks too much of Nicole. Leo is shocked by Dimitri’s revelation. Sloan and Eric make a special introduction. Tate makes some progress with romance. Johnny has a nice surprise for Chanel.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Friday, December 8, 2023: A Call That Could Blow Up The Lie
Leo goes to visit Dimitri in Statesville and gives him a list of tips on how to survive in prison. Leo asked Dimitri for details about the bomb he dropped on him at the police station about Nicole and Eric’s baby being alive. Dimitri tells him the story of taking the baby to Sloan and Melinda the night Nicole gave birth. Leo is shocked when Dimitri tells him that the baby Sloan and Eric are raising as their own is actually Nicole and EJ’s son.
Dimitri tells Leo about the deal he made with Sloan and encourages Leo to blackmail her to keep the secret. Leo thinks about all the possibilities but can’t stop thinking about Nicole and EJ. Dimitri teases him about developing a conscience and urges him to push it aside to blackmail Sloan. Before Leo leaves, Dimitri begs him to have a good life. Leo doesn’t like that it sounds like Dimitri is saying goodbye, but Dimitri assures him that he’s not and that he just wants Leo to be happy.

Johnny sees EJ in the parlor and realizes he is distracted. EJ confides that he was thinking about the baby he and Nicole lost and Johnny expresses his condolences to his father again. EJ tells Johnny about the DNA test and talks to him about his concerns for Nicole. Nicole comes in and overhears and blows up at EJ because she thinks he’s saying that he thinks that she’s crazy.
Johnny leaves them alone to talk and EJ assures Nicole that he doesn’t think she’s crazy. They talk about their loss and she confides in him everything that she’s feeling. EJ tells her that he’s been thinking about it and he thinks that they should try to have another baby, not right now but at some point in the future. Nicole lashes out at him and makes it clear that’s not an option. EJ understands and backs down. He goes upstairs to get dressed and after he’s gone, the bell doorbell rings, and Nicole answers. She’s surprised to see Leo standing there.

Holly looks over Chanel’s baked goods in the Square and Chanel encourages her to have some. Holly agrees and Chanel gives her extra to apologize for thinking she had a crush on Johnny when she actually had a crush on Tate. After Holly leaves Johnny comes by and kisses Chanel. He tells her about his conversation with his father, and they talk about how bad they feel for him and Nicole. Johnny tells Chanel that he’s planning something special for their anniversary, and she teases him about all the possibilities of what it could be.

Tate is having breakfast at the Pub and Roman teases him about the employee discount. Tate asks him if he can take some time off and Roman agrees thinking that he wants to go on a date with Holly. Tate is surprised that Roman knows about Holly and Roman tells him that Johnny told him. Tate goes along with it and tells Roman that his dad doesn’t want him dating right now because he needs to concentrate on school and paying back his debt.
Roman leaves to go visit with Eric, Sloan, and the baby, and Holly comes in and sits down with Tate. She tells him that she needs his help to ruin Johnny’s surprise for Chanel and make sure that Chanel never makes it to the dinner. Tate tells her that he’ll do it but in exchange, he wants a real date with her.

Sloan and Eric are enjoying time at home with their son and talking about being parents to him. Roman arrives and meets his new grandson. He’s touched when Eric tells him that the baby’s name is Jude Roman. Roman comments that the baby looks like Eric when he was that age but thinks he must just be imagining it. Before he leaves, Roman thanks Sloan for making his son so happy and helping him finally become a father.
After he’s gone Sloan and Eric talk about Romans’s change of heart about her and they’re both very happy about it. Sloan is about to leave for work when Eric notices a voicemail on his phone. He stops her from leaving when he realizes that it’s from the adoption attorney. Eric is confused that the adoption attorney was calling to apologize for the adoption falling through, and questions Sloan about why he would say that.
