This week marks the end of a short but unforgettable run for the iconic, legendary, six-time Daytime Emmy award-winner, Erika Slezak, as she wraps her stint as Ronnie Bard on General Hospital.
In light of her departure, Slezak shared a heartfelt thank-you message for her fans, courtesy of Walter Miller, who runs her website and fan club:
“Thank you so much for all your emails. I am delighted that you’ve been enjoying my work on General Hospital. I am very grateful for the kind words you have shared with me. It was wonderful to work again in a medium I love. My experience on GH was fantastic, and I hope you continue to enjoy the show. GH has an incredible group of actors and writers, and I am honored to have been part of it. Many sincere thanks for watching. Love, Erika.”
Best known for her decades-long portrayal of Viki Lord Buchanan on One Life to Live, Slezak made her triumphant return to daytime soaps earlier this year.
She debuted on Friday, September 26, 2025, as Veronica “Ronnie” Bard. Ronnie was introduced at the very end of the episode when Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) encountered her in the Quartermaine mausoleum. It was revealed that Ronnie is Monica’s sister, who came to Port Charles after Monica’s recent passing.
Since her debut, Ronnie quickly became entangled in a scheme with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) to snag the Quartermaine mansion and sell it to Drew (Cameron Mathison). But her conscience got the better of her, and she couldn’t go through with it — only for Tracy to show up moments later with Monica’s real will.
Now, as Slezak’s short but memorable run comes to an end, we can’t help but ask, will you miss Erika Slezak on General Hospital? Drop a comment below and share your thoughts!
