General Hospital Recap February 22, 2024: Carly Leaves Crimson
Carly confronts Drew about his decision to block Nina from starting a new magazine. She tells him that they already made her pay for her actions. She believes that their happiness is the ultimate form of revenge and questions why Drew can’t simply ignore Nina.
Despite Drew’s insistence on making Nina “pay,” Carly points out that they have everything they want and should focus on their own happiness. She challenges Drew’s motivations, arguing that his desire to humiliate Nina is unnecessary given their success. When Drew brings up the pain of his time in Pentonville and expresses a desire for Nina to experience similar suffering, Carly admits his behavior makes her scared. Drew asserts he has just as much as right she does to decide how to handle Nina. Carly, however decides to resign. “Consider this my first and last issue,” she tells Drew as she hands him the magazine and walks out.
GH Recap February 22, 2024: Cyrus Gets to Work
After Cyrus is mic’d up, they review the plan. When Cyrus questions the approach, Anna states that she is aware of his tendency to exploit loopholes, and she is not willing to take any risks. She reminds Cyrus that the objective is to persuade O’Neil to reveal the identity of the person to whom he sold the WSB weapon. Although Cyrus hesitates, they assure him that this will greatly benefit many people.
As the program commences, Anna and Dante listen in, and John arrives, inquiring if they have started without him. Anna says this is her jurisdiction and her right to conduct the investigation as she sees fit. However, John intervenes, informing her that she cannot keep the FBI in the dark, and therefore he is shutting down the investigation.
John expresses frustration after dedicating months to the investigation, fearing that bias towards Sonny could jeopardize his efforts. Anna, puzzled by John’s reluctance to consider a potentially effective approach, questions his motives. Meanwhile, both Dante and Anna suspect John of ulterior motives. Anna warns John that she will report him to his supervisor if he obstructs their work any further. In Pentonville, Cyrus, approaches O’Neil and introduces himself as the Chapelin. He senses distress and offers to help. O’Neil confides in Cyrus, expressing concerns for his safety.
GH Recap Today: Some Karaoke
Sasha and Maxie arrive at Charlie’s and “runs into” Cody and Spinelli. Sasha takes the lead, inviting them to join her and Maxie. Cody initially hesitates, but eventually agrees and takes Sasha to get drinks. Meanwhile, Spinelli and Maxie discuss business at Deception before discovering the new Karaoke activities at Charlie’s.
As the Karaoke begins, Cody takes the opportunity to encourage Spinelli to sing a duet with Maxie, but Spinelli sees through his intentions and declines. Despite Cody’s past actions, he expresses genuine concern for Spinelli’s happiness and agrees to back off. Eventually, Spinelli decides to stay and sings, capturing Maxie’s full attention. Later, Spinelli and Maxie share a kiss as he tells her he considers her more than a friend. Maxie pulls away and runs out.
General Hospital Recap February 22, 2024: Li Reveals A Name
Selina leads Sonny to a secluded cabin, brushing off his questions about the detour. She reassures him that his patience will be rewarded as she opens the cabin door to reveal a tied-up man, explaining that this is where she does her best work. Selina recounts how Li betrayed her after coming into a large sum of cash. Sonny’s anger flares as he realizes Li’s connection to the people who have targeted him. “You been working for the people who took a shot at me, twice,” Sonny yells.
Who Is Stone?
Unmuzzling Li, Selina hopes Sonny can extract valuable information from him. Sonny makes it clear that Li will face consequences unless he provides a compelling reason to spare him. Li reveals that the man he dealt with was merely a go-between for a mysterious figure known as Stone, sparking Sonny’s recognition of the name. Sonny and Selina goes outside where he explains that Stone was someone he knew in past, but he is close to someone who recently resurfaced in town – John Cates, an FBI. Given the timing, this raises many questions.
