General Hospital alum William Lipton is officially stepping into the gaming world in a major way.
The actor, best known to soap fans for playing Cameron Webber on the ABC daytime drama, revealed that he is part of the voice cast for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
While sharing the newly released trailer online, Lipton teased:
“Hey mom I’m in call of duty #mw4.”
Modern Warfare 4 Heads Into Dangerous New Territory
According to the official description, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 centers on an escalating global conflict surrounding the Korean Peninsula.
The game’s synopsis teases:
“Set against a rapidly escalating global conflict centered on the Korean Peninsula, ‘Modern Warfare 4’ pushes the series into darker and more dangerous territory as a full-scale invasion of South Korea threatens to destabilize the world.”
The story campaign will follow Private Park, a young Korean soldier entering combat for the very first time as he and his squad attempt to survive impossible odds.
Meanwhile, longtime franchise favorite Captain Price returns to lead a rogue alliance operating outside the traditional Task Force 141 structure.
A Major Career Move for William Lipton
The upcoming game was developed by Infinity Ward and is scheduled to launch on October 23 across Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, PC via Battle.net, Xbox on PC, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Interestingly, this also marks the first time in more than a decade that a new Call of Duty title will release on a Nintendo platform.
Outside of General Hospital, fans may also recognize Lipton from his role as Charlie Cooper on The Runarounds.
Lipton is in excellent company for this project. The confirmed voice and motion-capture cast for Modern Warfare 4 currently features a stellar lineup of top-tier Hollywood and voice talent, including Prisca Kim, Lanny Joon, Barry Sloane returning as Captain Price, Young Mazino, Luke Tennie, and William Lipton.
