Until secrets do them part!
On General Hospital, Valentin and Nina are both on cloud nine about their impending nuptials. Cynthia Watros (Nina) told Soap Opera Digest about how ecstatic she is. “She’s going to marry the man that she really feels is her soul mate, the person who gets her.” Valentin, on the other hand, is just as happy, but still holds onto the chance that his secret about deceiving Nina could ruin everything he has worked for. “Valentin’s philosophy through this whole experience has been, ‘Not today, not today,’ ” explains portrayer James Patrick Stuart in the magazine.
Lulu (Emme Rylan) has other plans though. She overheard the truth about Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) identity. She begins to be nervous around Nina, but Nina just shrugs it off. During the ceremony when the words “If anyone has anything to say, speak now or forever hold your peace” are uttered Lulu has no other choice but to stand up…in dramatic fashion, of course. She tells everything she knows about Sasha. Nina refuses to listen to her believing that this outburst is stemming from her anger towards Valentin about what he did to Nikolas, or it could be just because she isn’t happy right now. So, she doesn’t want anyone else to be happy.
“Nina says to Sasha, ‘Just tell everyone that you’re my daughter.’ I think she says it twice — and the second time I look at her and she’s in tears. And I think that’s the beginning of Nina looking into this woman’s eyes and seeing, without words, that she has been lying to [her].”
What Lulu has left out was Valentin’s part in the scam. So, will Valentin continue on with the wedding knowing that the plan he set in motion has hurt the woman he loves so much?
