Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott, The Young and the Restless) is gearing up to celebrate his 48th birthday tomorrow, but this year’s festivities come with a side of injury thanks to an adult league soccer mishap—ouch!
Taking to his Instagram with a reel, Thompson joked about getting the perfect birthday present. “It’s Tuesday today. Tomorrow is Wednesday. It’s my birthday. I’m turning 48, and I got the perfect birthday present on Saturday afternoon—the perfect reminder that I’m getting a little long in the tooth. I was playing adult league soccer, 15 minutes into my warm-up, taking some shots on the goalie, and pop! Felt it, heard it—really, really uncomfortable.”
“Look at this,” he said as he moved the camera to show his bruised thigh. “I mean purple all the way,” he humorously added. Closing out the video, Jason Thompson mentioned that he will be paying a visit to the doctor, and he will be taking this as a lesson to be better.
Naturally, his fans and colleagues flooded the comment section with their recovery wishes, and Soap Opera News joins in to wish him a swift recovery and a happy birthday!
