Kelly Clarkson officially confirmed that her hit daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, will conclude after its current seventh season. On Monday, in a statement shared on her Instagram, Kelly revealed that the decision was hers and it was centered on one thing: her family.
Putting Family First
The heart of Kelly’s decision lies within her deepest desire to put her family first. She explained that stepping away from the demanding daily schedule of a talk show is necessary for her to prioritize her children, River, Rose, and Remington.
This comes after an incredibly difficult year for her family following the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, in August 2025. Kelly has been about the need to be present for her kids as they navigate this new chapter of their lives together.
The Final Farewell
While the news marks the end of an era for daytime TV, fans still have time to say goodbye. The show is set to continue airing new episodes through Fall 2026, and a slate of special guest hosts will be brought in to help finish out the final season.
Kelly was quick to reassure her audience that this is not a retirement from the spotlight. She plans to continue releasing music, performing live, and will even return to her red chair on The Voice for the upcoming Season 29, “Battle of Champions,” in Spring 2026.
A Legacy to Remember
She has a massive legacy in the Talk Show world, having secured 24 Daytime Emmy awards and reaching over 2 billion annual digital views with this season alone. Her signature Kellyoke segments and her ability to make viewers feel seen and heard transformed the daytime landscape.
Well, the curtains are closing on TKCS, and she made it clear that she is forever grateful for the seven years she spent as a part of the viewers’ daily lives.
