On November 20, the character of Luna Nozawa was killed off on The Bold and the Beautiful, marking the end of Lisa Yamada’s daytime Emmy Award–winning run on the show.
Yamada confirmed her exit on Instagram with a carousel of behind-the-scenes moments. Her caption read, “so many tears shed, blood spilled, friendships formed, and memories made on @boldandbeautifulcbs. what a ride it’s been! hope you enjoyed the adventures.”
Lisa joined B&B in 2023 as a main cast member, and her character quickly became a fan favorite—evolving into the kind of villain viewers loved to love and sometimes loved to hate.
But it was her back-to-back performances that really won fans over and earned her a Daytime Emmy on the way out.
After all, she made history at the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards when she won the inaugural award for Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series, a brand-new category introduced this year. On top of that, she became the first Asian actress to win for a scripted daytime program. WOW.
Farewell to Lisa Yamada
Since posting her farewell on Instagram, several of her colleagues jumped into the comments with an outpouring of love and admiration.
Casey Kasprzyk, the show’s executive producer, wrote, “Lisa, it’s not easy to create a soap villain that leaves such a lasting impact, but you truly elevated #BoldandBeautiful, making the audience love to hate Luna while appreciating your incredible acting talents. Thank you for everything.”
Lawrence Saint-Victor, one of the show’s writers and the actor who plays Carter, added, “You’re an absolute warrior!!! To carry story the way you did, and command the screen, is nothing short of amazing. To play the innocent ingenue, then the evil villain, to the broken character that just wants to be loved… Chef’s kiss!! You’re amazing!”
Laneya Grace (Electra) said, “Come home the kids miss you.”
And Rebecca Budig (Taylor) chimed in, “Wish I could have done more with you girl! They threw so much at you… so many words, so much emotion—and you rocked it all.”
