Another week, another round of exceptional performances that left many reeling emotionally. The soap operas served some outstanding performances from Courtney Hope (Sally, Y&R), Maura West (Ava, GH), Maurice Benard (Sonny), Kristen Vaganos (Molly), Kate Mansi (Kristina), Bryan Craig (Morgan), and Tajh Bellow. However, after careful consideration, we have narrowed it down to Bellow as the standout performer of the week.
Fans of General Hospital were treated to an incredible string of episodes this week, and Tajh Bellow’s performance left a profound impact, particularly after the emotionally charged episode on August 7th.
This week, after a heavily pregnant Kristina had a nasty fall from Ava’s suite at the Metro Court and landed into the Metro Court Pool, she was rushed to the hospital — unfortunately, the baby did not survive. The news hit everyone like a wrecking ball, and both TJ and Molly had a hard time dealing with what happened, so much so that they even started pointing fingers at who was to be blamed.
Tajh Bellow Is the Performer of the Week:
As TJ took those baby socks, stumbled to the ground by the door, and began to cry, we were left emotionally shattered. Bellow totally nailed conveying all of TJ’s emotions, giving a performance that’s definitely going to stick with daytime soap opera fans for a long time. His portrayal was so moving that when he cried, we cried, and we found ourselves asking, ‘Why isn’t this talented man on screen more often?’
Bellow’s outstanding performance undeniably deserves recognition, and it’s clear that he has secured his spot for next year’s Emmy nominations. Congratulations to Tajh Bellow on being named Soap Opera News’ performer of the week.
