We hope all the mom’s had a wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend! Scheming and confessions in Genoa City, lots of plugging for partner swapping in L.A., election day and a faux death of a toddler in Salem and the DOD saga continued in Port Charles.

The Young and The Restless
Ana vs. Mariah is heating up. So far it’s only about Tessa, her new look and her music career. But we are very interested to see if we are headed to a triangle. Devon will hold a tribute for Neil at Society. Elevon had their first kiss. The only problem was Devon was in a Hillary induced haze and he thought he was kissing Hillary. Phyllis was busy working to bring her accessory line to fruition. She asked Jack again for an “in” at Jabot and was denied again. She took it upon herself to use Summer’s passwords and logged into Jabot’s computer system for information and asked Summer to give her proprietary information on Jabot. When none of that worked, at week’s end she was on the phone with Ashley trying to see if she would help her. Can’t stop. Won’t stop. Summer spent most of the week scheming to get Kyle away from Lola and closer to her. However, at week’s end, Kyle wanted to be and was with Lola. But like mother like daughter so we are thinking; Summer can’t stop. Won’t stop.
Mia and Arturo had sex and discussed moving back to Mexico and raising his child/niece or nephew. Not so fast y’all. Lola and Abby found out that Mia was the one who attacked Lola thinking it was Abby. Lola got in Mia’s face. She somewhat got in Rey and Arturo’s face when she found out they already knew. Abby told them she wouldn’t volunteer the info but if the police came to a calling she wasn’t lying to them. Paul questioned and grilled Mia until she spilled her guts and then doubled over in pain. She headed to the ER. Yeah, Mia, the truth can be very painful sometimes. We can totally relate. Nate asked Abby out. Abby’s not ready to date but Nate will be the first to know when she is. Victor told Sharon Adam is alive. Sharon told Nick. Nikki found out and flew to Vegas to see what the heck was going on. Adam doesn’t remember his life before the explosion. Hmm. The psychiatrist couldn’t help so Victor asked Sharon to take a crack at trying to jog Adam’s memory. Nick didn’t want her involved. But Sharon agreed to help. She heard Adam’s voice for herself, it really is him. Adam and Sharon came face to face. But we only got Sharon’s shocked expression. LOL.
The Bold and The Beautiful
Hope and Thomas had a conversation on why she should leave Liam and be with him and Douglas. He never got over her and Douglas needs a mother. He laid it on really really really thick. Oh yeah and he kept the ring from Mexico. He told Hope he knew she couldn’t accept it now but he was hoping she would one day (soon). So, our understanding is Thomas loves Hope, Douglas needs a mom, Steffy still loves Liam and the girls need Liam and those are good enough reasons for the partner swap. Oh yes! Let’s not forget Douglas drew Hope a faux picture! Sally told Wyatt Thomas’ plan. Wyatt told Liam. Liam left Europe (and the Nanny’s strong pitches on why Steam should reunite and that Liam is still in love with Steffy) and confronted Thomas about him making a move on his wife. Thomas gave his reasons to Liam why he should just bow out and let him have his wife. Goodness. Then Liam asked Hope if she wanted to be Thomas. Mkay. Sally and Wyatt had an argument about Sally not telling Wyatt about Thomas’ plans to break-up Lope. Sally volunteered to move out. Wyatt and Sally aren’t even officially broken up and Wyatt was already at Flo’s kissing on her and telling her how they should be together. Goodness again. Flo is the most honest person Wyatt knows. Mkay. Sally told Quinn she wasn’t giving up on Wyatt. Oh, Sally, we dunno…maybe you should.
Days of Our Lives
Radiation didn’t shrink Will’s tumor and he’s forgetting things. Brady busted Stabi but Gabi lied to Brady. She told him she threw herself at Stefan but he didn’t take the bait. Brady! Brady! Brady! You bought that?! Victor was back in the mix and we couldn’t be happier. Victor and “Nicole” got it on like old times. And him and Kate are back in business. Lots of Phillip mentions…hmm. And we got a Kristen one too…double hmm. It was election day. Jennifer came all the way back from Paris just to cast her vote for Abe. Nothing like a scorned woman. Tripp suggested Claire talk to someone sensing she might be unraveling and then he turned around and broke up with her. And Claire is the crazy one? LOL. Tripp you ever heard the phrase; nothing like a scorned woman. Claire gave her recording proving the faux Tripp/Haley marriage to Eve and made Eve promise to protect Tripp. Eve played it for JJ and Haley who were getting too cozy in a public hospital. Anyway, Haley confessed to the faux marriage in Horton Square and said it was all her fault, Tripp was innocent.
Everyone held their breath and said prayers for Holly’s safe return. Rafe walked right into Ted’s trap and let him play him like a fiddle when Rafe followed Ted. Xander and Ted staged it to make it look like Holly and her kidnapper had a terrible accident where the car drove off the embankment and went over into a ravine. Xander got the adult male and kid bodies from the morgue. Holly is presumed dead. My goodness. Holly will have her first resurrection before the age of five. Days. Days. Days. LOL. Hope suspended Rafe effectively immediately and indefinitely for defying her orders and following Ted. Rope is close to dead. Maggie was close to falling off the wagon. Maggie was devastated that her last connection to Daniel was gone. “Nicole” came across the vodka Maggie had and offered to take her to a meeting. It should have been Victor but he was too busy having a drink with Kate at Doug’s. And he knew Holly was “dead”. Victor was all kinds of wrong for that one. “Nicole” was wrecked by Holly’s death. Chloe, Stefan, Ben, Ciara, Hope, etc all of Salem ravaged by an angel who got her wings all too soon. What’s y’all’s time frame on when Holly will experience first resurrection?
General Hospital
Willow opened up to Kristina about her experiences with DOD, how she barely escaped and why Kristina had to break free now for her own good. Kristina was blind but now she done seen the light. She’s living with Alexis for the time being. She went over to Shiloh’s asking for The Pledge as if he was just going to hand it over. He didn’t. Robert is staying in Port Charles for a while. He told Anna what we all had figured out weeks ago that maybe the faux memory was that Peter wasn’t her son but Alex’s. Robert had a way for Anna to find out if Alex was Peter’s mother. But Anna wants to be Peter’s faux momma. She told Robert to butt out and stand down. Robert and Holly aren’t together “at the moment”. He asked Laura to the Nurse’s Ball. She declined his offer. Her and Curtis are in Paris (they ran into Peter and Maxie) hunting down Ryan. Kevin was a match for Jordan but he’s pre-diabetic so he wasn’t a suitable donor. Ava got confused in her role as Kevin’s lover and tried to kiss him. Kevin said it’s cool but if you get confused again, I’m out. Jax returned to Port Charles to be there for Joss. This Jax seemed to be cool with Jason and playing nice with Sonny. We got nothing on that one.
Sam was ready to get her DOD ‘tat’ when Jason busted in and knocked Shiloh out. He told her Kristina had done seen the light it was all good. Sam was like no it’s not; Shiloh still has The Pledge. So, I’m gonna clean this up and carry on. Sam went so far as to suggest later on to Jason that she complete her initiation and they record it. That way they can get Shiloh for drugging/sexual assault. We got nothing on that one either. Brad is DOD’s newest victim. It’s hard for us to swallow that Brad would be taken in by the DOD. But we know it’s only to get Shiloh to find out about Wiley so…mkay. Julian lied in Brad’s face that he had no clue if/what could be bothering Brad or what secret he could be keeping. Oh Julian when this Wiley stuff breaks, it just ain’t gonna be good for you. Maybe Alexis will come and comfort you! LOL.
Performers of the Week!
Our Performer of the Week is Arianne Zucker! Last week our POW was a reel grieving mom (Tamara Braun, Kim). This week we have one with two major differences. The first one is Holly isn’t dead. But let’s put ourselves in Nic’s shoes, who believes she is. You are exiled because of Brady’s blackmail. Then blackmailed by Xander into marrying him. You get a 24-48 hour reunion with the love of our live, Eric. Only to be almost blown up and waking up with a burned body. You work so hard to recuperate and get well. You come home and reunite with the love of your life only for in 24-48 hours to have your daughter die. And in your eyes, your best friend and the love of your live didn’t do enough to protect her. WOW. That’s a tall just returning task to play out. Absolutely no worries, Arianne showed up and showed out! She went in and out, back and forth between distress, disbelief, pain and fury with skillful precision and timing. Greg Vaughn and Ari played angsty tortured Ericole as they always do pulling and twisting our soap souls. We have missed Ari so much and she is back with a bang! Her grief with Abe and Maggie, her rage and coldness with Eric, her fire with Victor and her warmth with Brady; in all of her scenes we were quickly reminded (not that we needed to be) of why we are so grateful to have her back. Second thing is; we ain’t buying it anymore that this is Nicole. So, Ari is playing someone (most likely Kristen) who is playing like they are Nicole. No problem. She is killing it. And we are all in and loving every minute. Yes! Yes! Welcome home Ari/Nicole/Person X! Glad to have you back where you belong!
Our Honorable Mention of the Week is Lexi Ainsworth!
We have been saying our soap prayers for Kristina ever since she got hooked up in DOD. Michael brought a witness to the intervention. Kristina sat there almost stoic as Willow went into detail about her experiences, including her rape by Shiloh, with DOD. We weren’t sure if this would be the time when Kristina would see the light. She did push back a bit on the notion that Shiloh would rape her. We don’t know if it was hearing about DOD from a stranger or Willow’s harrowing story of rape but whatever it was Kristina was finally ready to put DOD behind her. But Kristina wasn’t going to just sit in her room and hide. That’s not in her DNA. She went to face Shiloh head on. Sister girl brazenly charged in the DOD house and asked for her Pledge back. And she did not hold back one iota when facing Shiloh. Brassy Kristina told Shiloh he was feeding her all that crap, put her in that sister wife dress (LOL), drugged her and was planning on raping her. She didn’t flinch. She didn’t bat an eye. She didn’t fold. How funny was it that when Shiloh was right in the middle of trying to feed Kristina his “crap” she stormed out and slammed the door behind her. Go Kristina! Lexi gave us two totally opposite ends of the actor spectrum with ease. Lexi gave us non-verbal acting “face” as she listened to Willow. It was as if we could see the wheels turning in her head as she sat there wordlessly. We sensed everything she must have been thinking and feeling. And we were all for the bold, fiery and fearless Kristina Lexi gave us at the DOD house. Opposite ends same result. Great job Lexi!
