H-E-L-L-O  P-E-E-P-S!

I’m still recovering from my post Daytime Emmy’s hangover. So, you know the drill recaps and winners below. Let’s go!!!!

General Hospital

Team Lure Ryan out continued their plans to do just that lure Ryan out. The team had to call an audible when Franco ran up on a meeting. They turned it into a memorial for Ryan. Lulu interviewed Ava who gushed about her new bae Kevin. Will the plan work? We sure hope so. We want Ryan back! Jordan’s one and only kidney is infected. She needs a transplant STAT. Val and Chase are convinced that Kristina was kidnapped by her family even more so after speaking with them. Their eyes are peeled on all of them especially Alexis. Diane and Alexis disguised themselves as the other one to throw NuValerie/cops off. It worked. Alexis made it to the intervention undetected. Sonny told Kristina they were only doing this because they loved her. Kristina said she knew that. She would never choose DOD over them. She can’t promise she will leave DOD but the decision had to be hers. And she asked if they could respect it. Willow showed up at the intervention to tell Kristina the truth about Shiloh. Sonny sent Milo in as a mole in DOD. Shiloh told Sam she could enter The Trust. Jasam was scheming on what Pledge to give Shiloh and how to use it to their advantage.

The Oscar’s brain tumor storyline ended and Oscar died. Oscar dreamed of a miracle cure (nice touch GH ) and got a peek into the future. It was the dream of seeing everyone’s future that let him know he had to let go. It was time for him and everyone else to move on. He told Joss in the dream he was ready to go home. Edward and Lila came to show him the way to soap opera heaven. Oscar gave Joss a kiss on the cheek and he and his great grandparents went on to their soap heavenly home. “It hasn’t been long but it’s been full. I have had more happiness than some people have in a lifetime.” #RIPOscar. An exhausted Joss fell asleep for a little while and when she woke up Oscar was gone. Kim, Drew, Joss, Cam and the rest of the Quatermaine family all heartbreakingly moving. Drew carrying Oscar down the steps and putting him on the gurney…tears. We want to give a specific and special shout out to Billy Miller, Eden McCoy, William Lipton and the rest of the involved GH cast for their powerful performances. And of course, Garren Stitt you too! Good luck in all your future endeavors and we look forward to following whatever is next for you!

Days of our Lives

Ericole reunion alert. I have to remain neutral so all I will say is, congrats Ericole Stans! (congratulating myself) Sarah barely kept herself from falling out. She was shocked when she saw Nic. Nic told Eric how she survived. Somehow someone got her out the building and then she woke up in the hospital. A good part of her body was and still is burned. She had been working to get better and the only thing that kept her going was trying to get back to him and Holly. Word spread of another Salem resurrection. Nic saw Chloe, Brady, Maggie, Rex and Hope. Holly was kidnapped! Xander (is back thank you soap gawds) and Ted have her. Hmm. Nicole went in on Chloe and accused her of paying more attention to Stefan than Holly. Is that really Nicole though? Hmm. Val came to support her man on election eve. Jeve acquired and showed the tape of the Shabe kiss. JJ was livid even more so than Abe. He reminded daddy Jack that it was Jack that had forced himself on a woman not Abe. Bloop. Shelia fell on her sword for Abe and said it was all her. She resigned and told Abe she was leaving Salem. Val was mad. Abe explained yes there was a thought but there was nothing between him and Shelia. But it made him realize he’s not cut out for a long distance relationship. Vabe broke-up. Did we lose Shelia and Val on the same day? Hope discovered Ciara and Ben are setting dem sheets afire!

Haley got the news that she wasn’t being deported. But her and Tripp would be under the ICE microscope for at least 3 years. THREE YEARS. Haley and Tripp was actually going to make Claire leave her own place. Then somebody remembered it was her place so Tripp offered to move out. Fire starter told them to stay put she would go to grandpa’s. Tripp found half of the ripped picture of him and Haley. Haley’s part was in fire starter’s hands with the lighter. Will received his first round of radiation. Stabi can’t keep their hands off each other. They did it again people. This storyline is so much fun to watch. Rafe told Lani she didn’t have to make the sacrfice and take a leave of absence to help care for David. But Lani is a goner when it comes to that baby. Dunno Elani Stans. Ted ended the week by telling Rope he knows who has Holly. That is the truth. But we are guessing he’s going to lie like a rug about who actually has her.

The Young and The Restless

The week began with Y&R rounding out their tribute to Neil Winters/Kristoff St. John. There are no words to adequately express what it meant to see Victoria Rowell back on set. Feels. Feels. Feels. And how great was it to see Mishael Morgan?! Feels. Feels. Feels. The cast’s memories, stories, tears and laughter pierced our hearts and filled it with love and gratitude. It has been said over and over again about the tribute. But again phenomenal job Y&R & #RIPandPowerKristoff. Kyle told Lola he broke things off with Summer and he was all hers.  Kola shared a romantic evening and Lola and Kola made love for the first time. Who is Summer’s momma? Summer is not planning to just roll over. Yes, she is hurt but still in it to win it. Phyllis asked Summer, Why should you have to give up a job you love and are good at because of Kyle? Summer and Kyle’s business chemistry wowed Rebekah Barlow with their impromptu strategy answering the question on how they plan to take Jabot Collective to the next level.  Summer will stay put at Jabot. She played nice with Lola when they ran into each other at Chancellor Park. But she was scheming for her and Kyle to go on a business trip together.

Billy gave Phyllis the money to start her own business. He told her that that was it, finito, kaput. They were done. Phyllis agreed. He came clean to Victoria, who being the smart woman she is, had already figured out he gave Phyllis the money. Sharon told Mia she knew what she did by the Abbott pool. Shey was hot on the trail of finding out what Victor has been up to. Looks like Victor is going to spill the Adam beans to Sharon. Devon and Elena are moving forward. But poor Devon can’t get Hillary out of his mind. He had Hillary-vision. We hate to see Devon like that. But we were so ecstatic to see Mishael! CBS/Sony/Y&R whoever, do the right thing! Bring Mishael back full time. Traci’s writing will take us to 1946. Dina’s condition continued to deteriorate. She may have to be put in a facility. Jack and Lauren? In my “nonbias” opinion, I’m very open in seeing where they are going with this. Mariah received another threat this time a text.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope offered Flo a job at Forrester Creations. Do they have a poker table somewhere? LOL. Shauna implored for Flo to embrace this opportunity, to embrace her family and to take the job. Zoe implored Shauna and Flo to get to stepping. Shauna said nope nope nope. We ain’t going nowhere. Thomas got Sally to agree not to tell anyone about his cra-cra plan to break up Lope. Wyatt walked in on them talking and he sensed something was up even though Sally told him all was well. Wyatt asked Sally to come out to dinner with him and Flo. Sally had to work so Wyatt didn’t say okay we can go next time. He said okay but can you meet us for dessert? Huh? He saw a text from Thomas to Sally reminding her not to tell Wyatt anything. Wyatt made a beeline to Flo’s and was telling Flo about how Sally was keeping secrets from him. He told Flo to accept the job. And he kissed Flo. The same Wyatt who had just told Sally about them not having any secrets. This was their second kiss. Goodness, these Spencer men so fine and so flaky! LOL. Flo admitted/realized she is still in love with Wyatt. After Wyatt kissed Flo she was more apt to keeping her mouth shut and not telling Hope about the baby. Shauna, Flo and Zoe all made a pact to keep their mouths shut. Who will break first?

Ridge, Hope and Brooke gushed over Flo about all she has brought to their lives and how happy they were to have her in their family. And they just wanted to show their gratitude to her. Guess what y’all? Flo accepted the job! Surprise! She said she was going to do her best to put the past behind her and take full advantage of the opportunity. Shauna was all smiles. Liam was in Paris. The nanny must be #TeamSteffy because she was telling Liam how much Steffy loves him. And that he should be there with the girls and not her. Thomas figured there was no time like the present to make his move. He told Hope Douglas needed her. The girls needed Liam. And that he needed her. Thomas kissed Hope! My goodness are we sure he’s not a Spencer too. Just kidding. Just having fun. No shade to anyone’s favs. No worries. I shade mine as well when warranted.

Performers of the Week!

Our Performer of the Week Tamara Braun! (Kim, General Hospital)

We didn’t forget Tamara! What a tough week. This is a reality, as a mom, I pray I never experience. We are sure for some of us it was all too real in one way or another. Not to ignore any of that but just for a moment, we will praise the brilliance of Tamara. If Tamra didn’t get to you….check your pulse. We are acknowledging Tamara for her performance this week. But throughout the entire storyline, she has done such a wonderful job depicting the battle between a person knowing the reality of a medical diagnosis and prognosis (especially with Kim being a doctor herself) versus being a mom hoping, wishing and praying for a miracle for your baby. Kim, sitting on the steps because the living room seemed too far from Oscar, Kim, who felt the moment Oscar passed on, Kim, who talked to, held and sobbed over a passed on Oscar; all moments this week that tugged well really ripped our soap hearts out. Another quality we’ve admired about Kim during this storyline and one Tamara has displayed so effortlessly, has been Kim’s strength. Hers isn’t a loud boisterous strength but a quiet more reserved strength but strength, even more, the same. It was that strength that gave Kim the courage to hold herself together as best she could until the end. It was that strength that gave her the courage to move out of the Quartermaine mansion to go home to face an empty apartment right after losing Oscar (We were so happy Julian came anyway). Last week Tamara was moving, raw, real, gut-punching, heart ripping and gave us her all. Thank you, Tamara, for giving us a riveting performance throughout and in the culmination of this emotional storyline! So well done!

Honorable Mention Performer Linsey Godfrey! (Sarah, Days of Our Lives)

Sarah had a tough week too. Not anywhere near as tough as Kim’s but tough enough. Sarah probably floated to Eric’s place on Eric’s arm ready to tell Rex she was in love under new management. She and Eric probably made plans all the way there. Yes, they wanted to let Rex down as gently as possible. But ever since Sarah found out Rex sired Emily she has had her eyes on Eric.  We can’t decide who was more shocked to see an alive Nicole, Eric or Sarah. A shook Sarah could only stand there while Eric embraced, kissed and declared his love for the love of his life, Nicole, with Sarah’s fiance, Eric’s brother, hugging her and smiling at the Ericole reunion. Somehow she managed not to pass out or run away yelling and screaming. She held it together until she was by herself and then she let out a blood curling scream or two or twenty and unleashed the pain, distress and maybe even the anger she had pent up. I tweeted this to Linsey and I’m going to tell her again. This Ericole STAN was in awe of you! Linsey’s facial expressions, reactions, the tenor of her voice, body language, tears brimming but not spilling over; all played to perfection. Big Kudos Linsey!
