The Young and the Restless recurring actor Redding Munsell is proving to be one incredibly busy young star.
Known to daytime fans as the adorable Harrison Abbott, Munsell is officially expanding his horizons beyond Genoa City. According to Deadline, he is one of four new actors joining the cast of a dark comedy titled Little One.
The project marks the feature directorial debut for Alex Kavutskiy, who also wrote the script. Kavutskiy has assembled a fantastic lineup for the film, adding Amy Smart, Chiara Aurelia, Derek Luh, and Munsell to the team.
What’s Little One About?
While specific character details remain limited, sources told Deadline that Munsell and Chiara Aurelia portray the children at the center of the film’s story. Their parents are played by David Harbour and Gaby Hoffmann.
Details about the roles being played by Amy Smart and Derek Luh have not yet been revealed.
The project reunites producers Zach Cregger and Roy Lee, who previously worked together on the hit horror film Weapons.
According to the film’s synopsis, Little One follows a seemingly perfect family whose lives begin to unravel after a sudden and disturbing change in a child’s behavior.
The mysterious shift threatens to tear the family apart, setting the stage for a darkly comedic and emotionally charged story.
The film is being financed by Hammerstone Studios and is currently shooting in Los Angeles under a California tax credit program.
Kavutskiy is also producing alongside Chris McEwen, Amanda Phillips, Melina Torres, and Alex Lebovici.
Additional financing and executive production support come from several industry partners, including Ibrahim Mohammed, Chase Vergari, Kevin G. Lee, Astria Studios, First Take Media Capital, and David Goldman.
