This week, Sawandi Wilson made his soap opera debut as he entered the world of General Hospital as Isaiah. With a noteworthy track record including roles as Captain Leto in the final season of Star Trek: Discovery, Marcus in Amazon’s “Harlem,” and a recurring part in Netflix’s International hit series “The House of Flowers/La Casa De Las Flores,” this marked his first venture into daytime soap operas.
Since his first appearance on August 26, 2024, viewers have learnt a bit about Isaiah as it was revealed that he was imprisoned in a Refugee Camp by Sidwell. He was also almost shot by Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) in his first episode but thankfully the gun was filled with blanks. When we next saw his character, he was accidental hit by a car which Agent Linda Boyle (Amor Owens) was driving when she had a scuffle with Ava Jerome (Maura West). Thus far, Wilson’s portrayal of Dr. Isaiah Gannon has shown he has the looks, charm, and acting prowess to make him a mainstay in the fictional town of Port Charles. Do you agree?
His compelling performance has left us eagerly anticipating what lies ahead for this character. For his outstanding scenes thus far, we award Sawandi Wilson a solid A+ in our soap grade.
