What an unforgettable finale! The renowned designer Dennis Basso concluded his spring show with a remarkable surprise—none other than Emmy award-winner Susan Lucci, as she made her New York Fashion Week runway debut.
The 77-year-old Lucci confidently strutted out on the runway at the Park Avenue venue, eliciting enthusiastic claps and cheers from the crowd. As the last model gracefully exited the stage to the fading melody of Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful,” the atmosphere shifted as Whitney Houston’s powerful rendition of “I’m Every Woman” filled the space, heralding Lucci’s entrance.
The beloved soap star donned a stunning pale green silk chiffon off-the-shoulder gown, featuring a delicately pleated bust and a graceful cape detail cascading down her arms and back.
Lucci noted that the dress was custom-fit for her for the show, which eloquently celebrated the “modern, multi-generational woman,” as per Basso’s show notes.
Susan Lucci had previously graced the runway for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection. Of course, Lucci is most widely recognized for her portrayal of the iconic Erica Kane on All My Children. Check out the clip of Lucci modeling below!
