The Bay Celebrates A GRAND Milestone!

Today we are celebrating the phenomenal series The Bay as they mark their 10 year anniversary! 

The digital series from the creative mind of showrunner Gregori J. Martin, which began back in 2010, has told the stories of the rich, ruthless, revenge-seeking residents of Bay City. The series includes incredible storytelling, great production, and a star-filled cast with Kristos Andrews, Mary Beth Evans, Jade Harlow, Karrueche Tran, Matt Ashford, Scott Bailey, Ron Moss, Celeste Fianna, Terri Ivens, Eric Nelson, Tristan Rogers, Taylor Stanley, Jacklyn Zeman, and many more. 

The perfect combination of talent and hard work has led to a remarkable 19 Daytime Emmy wins – 5 for Outstanding Digital Drama Series – and 43 total nominations! To celebrate The Bay is airing a 2 part anniversary special on its new flagship network Popstar! TV today starting at  3pm ET / 12pm PT. Congratulations to the cast and crew on your milestone! #TBT – SEPT. 2010 – In the premiere episode of THE BAY, on Sept. 15, the denizens of Bay City gathered together for Brian Nelson and Zoey Johnson’s engagement party. What seemed to be a joyous occasion was repressed w/ secrets that filled the lounge, and most of those secrets by virtue of The Garretts and their camouflaged persona. Sara Garrett (Emmy® winner @marybeth.evans) is the matriarch of the Garrett family, who inherited the family empire after the mysterious death of her grandfather, the notorious Senator, Red Garrett (later played by Golden Globe® winner @bruce.davison in flashbacks). When the series premiered, it was revealed that Sara was the mother of 3 children from 3 different men (a 4th child was later discovered in season 3). Sara’s oldest son, Brian Nelson (then played by @dylanthebruce) was a ladies man and bad boy who knew, after meeting his true love, Zoey Johnson (@mchelletaylorstanley), it was time to settle down and was excited about his upcoming nuptials. Unfortunately Brian had too many skeletons in his closet and spent most of his time trying to rid himself of his shady past. Brian is also the illegitimate child of the nefarious Steve Jensen (@matthewashford1), Sara’s imprisoned rapist. Sara’s middle child and only daughter was Marly Nelson-Foster (then played by @marth27). Marly was a tough as nails law student, who Sara conceived with her true love, Lee Nelson (then played by Joe Lando). While Marly had a hard time forgiving Sara for her past transgressions, she was certainly daddy’s little girl. Marly was married to another law student Tony Foster (then played by @iamgavinhouston) and they had a young son together, R.J. Foster. Sara’s youngest son, Pete Garrett (Emmy® winner @kristos) was the rebel-spirit high school teenager and product of an affair Sara had on a Caribbean island with an Italian painter named Arturo Tonelli (later played by @robertscottwilson in flashbacks, and Thomas Calabro in current day). Pete had been heavily influenced at the time by troubled teenager Lianna Ramos (Emmy® winner @jadeharlow12), the daughter of Sara’s nemesis, Janice Ramos (then played by Emmy® nominated actress @lillymelgarofficial).

#FBF – NOV 2010 – It’s the aftermath of Brian and Zoey’s engagement party, where earlier Brian Nelson’s stalker Igor Chambers (#CamdenToy) held the party-goers hostage with a faux bomb. Janice Ramos (@lillymelgarofficial) drives her wild-child daughter Lianna Ramos (@jadeharlow12) home from the party, after discovering Lianna had been getting high with her new boyfriend Pete Garrett (@kristos), the groom’s brother. Despite her mother’s plans, Lianna demands Janice take her to the hospital to see Pete, who had been rushed to the ER from an overdose. Things turn uglier when a frustrated Janice slaps her disrespectful daughter. An angry Lianna hurries out of the vehicle and takes off. At the hospital, Brian (@dylanthebruce) shows up with his fiancee Zoey Johnson (@mchelletaylorstanley) to check on Pete. He tells Zoey to go inside to be with his family. He’s got business to take care of. Zoey isn’t having it and wants answers, putting Brian on the spot. Capt. Elliot Sanders (@charlesshaughnessy) shows up in the nick of time. He too wants answers and Brian’s the only one who has them. Elliot’s daughter, Isabella Sanders (@clairelouisesedgley) seemingly connected to the strange happenings in Bay City, comes home to find a mysterious box with a sweater and photos inside. She calls her father to inform him and a concerned Elliot tells her he’ll be right there. This sends Brian into a tailspin and he rushes to get to Isabella first, leaving a puzzled Zoey standing in the rain. Zoey’s big brother Mackenzie Johnson (#LaneDavies) exits the hospital to find his distraught sister and offers comfort. Meanwhile, Sara Garrett (@marybeth.evans) sits by her son Pete’s bedside hoping he’ll come to. Her wishes are granted, but to her surprise, Pete doesn’t remember her. Sara is shocked as is Pete’s physician, Dr. Keith Campbell (@realandrews). At the other end of the hospital, Sara’s daughter Marly Nelson Foster (@marth27) calls her father Lee Nelson (#JoeLando) in Europe, telling him that the family needs him. Lee says he’s on the first flight back. Move to a desperate Janice, who shows up to an empty home and discovers Lianna’s been reading her journal. (See comment for more…
