In a first for the soap genre, The Bold and the Beautiful is making history. In honor of Heather Tom’s 35th anniversary with the show, she will act, direct, and write an all-female episode, which will air next week on Thursday, March 27. According to Deadline, the Women’s History Month-themed episode will star Tom, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Jennifer Gareis (Donna), Rebecca Budig (Taylor), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), and Annika Noelle (Hope).

Tom told Deadline, “Brad Bell actually came to me and said, This is your 35th year. You’ve been writing and directing. You’ve also been acting the whole time, and I think that it would be wonderful if you did all three in one show.” Tom was excited and she agreed! The episode will focus on mother-and-daughter relationships. Tom is a 6-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress who has been on the show since 2007. Her other soap work includes roles on “One Life to Live” as Kelly Kramer and “The Young and the Restless” as Victoria Newman. (Photo: JPI)
