Daniel Goddard’s alter ego Cane Ashby is doing a great job patching things up with Lily (Christel Khalil) on ‘The Young and the Restless’ after much love troubles. But, the actor, Daniel Goddard, is having a much happier emotional life. Today he and his wife, Rachael Marcus Goddard is celebrating their 16th year of marriage.
Daniel began dating Rachael Marcus, an interior designer in August 1988. After years together, the two got married on February 3, 2002, and their wedding story is an interesting tale. Goddard reflects on the special day and shares, “16 years ago today I lost my pants…literally lost my pants hours before our wedding! Then…by the grace of God and thankfully for our wedding guests the hotel found them on a garden path… (don’t ask). Anyways that day I married the love of my life (fully dressed I might add, although I was prepared to do it in my undies because when you find ur soul mate you’ll do what ever it takes to marry them! And now all these years later she is still my lover, best friend and mother of my children. Rachael…I adore you! #happyanniversary My love!” Together they have two sons Ford Martin and Sebastian William.
