This week on The Young and the Restless, Christine meets with Phyllis and her attorney, Heather, to negotiate a possible plea bargain. Despite her counsel’s protests, Phyllis agrees to plead guilty on one condition. Phyllis also requests that she be permitted to make a statement to the judge before her sentencing. Christine accepts and phones to schedule a meeting with a judge the following day. Phyllis, Heather, and Christine later meet with a judge; Judge Linda Franklin (Ros Gentle) in her chambers. Phyllis describes the dread she felt beneath Jeremy Stark’s hands when he attacked her, which Carson watched but did not attempt to help. Christine openly shows her mistrust of Phyllis’ narrative when she adds that she had no choice but to defend herself, which ended in Jeremy’s murder.
