Michelle Stafford will soon vacate the role of Nina Reeves on General Hospital as she heads back to The Young and the Restless as Phyllis Summers. This means that Nina could possibly be recast as there is still more story to tell with the character for instance, who is Nina’s real daughter and how she will react once she learns the truth about Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) involvement in having Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) pretend to be her daughter. The show could always decide to do away with the character, write her out or perhaps kill the character off. But, should the show decides to recast there are several persons we could see fitting the role. Andrea Evans who is a stalwart in the soap business and has over 30 years of experience is one suggestion.
Evans is in agreement and would love to return to soaps. In fact, when we reached out to her to get her take on possibly becoming the new Nina Reeves she didn’t have much to say except, “I would love to visit Port Charles or Salem!” Evans spent quite some years as the infamous Tina Lord on One Life to Live, a role she played on and off from 1979 – 2011. She is also well known for her time as Tawny Moore on The Bold and the Beautiful and let’s not forget her many years as Rebecca Hotchkiss on Passions. With so many years of experience, should Evans be hired as a recast or even a new character we have no doubt she would pull it off! What say you fans?
