Y&R Recap January 30, 2024! Today on The Young and the Restless – Victor receives shocking news, Nick commiserates with Sharon, and Diane worries about Jack helping Nikki.

Victor knocks on Nikki’s door at the office. There is no answer, so he leaves. After, Jack questions Nikki if she’s sure she wants to continue keeping that he’s keeping a secret from her husband. Later, Victor goes to his office and calls Nikki. She is hesitant to pick up, but Jack encourages her to. After picking up the phone, Jack tries to convince her to tell Victor, but she insists that he cannot know that Jack is involved. While Jack may not agree with her decision, she expresses her wish for him to respect it.
Nikki claims that she won’t add to Victor’s troubles with the family, as he would be deeply hurt. Jack informs Nikki that he was at Society with Victor, trying to get a read on exactly how he is reacting to all this. “What!” she exclaims. “That is exactly what you’re not supposed to do!“
Nikki is furious, but Jack tells her that they only had one drink as he was just trying to get where Victor’s thinking is right now. Jack maintains his stance that she should tell Victor the truth, but she is determined not to. She doesn’t want Victor to see how fragile she is and remains adamant that she just needs someone who can support her through this. In turn, Jack promises that he is her guy.

Nick joins Victor in his office. He is about to head out for the day and offers to buy his dad a drink, but Victor declines, citing that he has dinner plans with Nikki. Following that, Victor mentions how he crossed paths with Jack at Society, and he was basically fishing around for information. They try to assess how Jack could know about Nikki’s drinking. Nick points out that they are friends, so maybe his mom told him for support. However, Victor doesn’t think Nikki needs Jack’s support.
Nikki joins them and apologizes for worrying Victor. He asks how things are going with her new sponsor. “Very well. We’re a much better fit,” she says. Victor then proceeds to invite Nick to join his parents for dinner. However, he politely declines, citing that Christian just reminded him that it is tacos and video game night.
Nick goes over to Crimson Lights, where he spots Sharon finishing up a video meeting. After it ends, he is flabbergasted and tells her that she is amazing.
Meanwhile, Victor and Nikki go to Society for dinner. He brings up his earlier encounter with Jack and highlights he knows about her drinking. Victor notes that Jack cannot be trusted but Nikki pleads with him not to make more if it than it really is. Later, Victor gets a call alerting him that there was a fire at the place where Jordan was being held.

Jack arrives home and is warmly greeted by Diane, who thought he would be home earlier. He reveals that he got a distress call from Nikki and went to the office to be there for her. While they were there, Victor came and almost caught them. Diane then asks how Nikki is doing, to which he responds that she is doing well. He tells his wife that he would love to spend the rest of the evening focusing on her. Jack then asks how champagne and dancing sound to her. “It sounds absolutely perfect,” Diane responds.
Over at Chancellor-Winters, Nate approaches Devon. He proposes that they both call it a night for the day and offers to buy him a drink. Devon cites it as the best offer he’s had all day.

At the GCAC, Tucker meets with Audra. She seems to be having a complete 180 since their last chat. Tucker then wonders if his pitch is getting under her skin or if it is that he is just that irresistible. While it is not that she finds him irresistible, she adds that, on the other hand, the offer to come work with him just might be. Since she recently declined this very same offer, Tucker wonders what changed. Audra claims she had some time to think things through, and that’s just about it. “This is a major reversal. You were very decisive up in your suite,” Tucker notes.
Subsequently, Audra reveals that she decided to leave Newman Media effective immediately. She thinks there is no room for her to climb the ladder there. But now, there are much better options on the table. She then proceeds to ask Tucker if his offer is still on the table. Tucker senses there is more to the story and pushes further to find out. He is of the belief that Audra was fired and that she did something to piss off Nikki.
Audra claims she was not fired but quit the job. Nate walks in, and suddenly Tucker cannot help but think they are up to something. In fact, he thinks he has something to do with her “quitting” Newman Media. Tucker thinks she is playing some long con and is dying to know what it is. Audra asserts that she and Nate are sleeping together, but Tucker doesn’t buy it. She wants to talk about the offer, but Tucker says he will think about it as he leaves.

At their table, Devon asks Nate if he is still friends with Audra. Nate would not necessarily call their dealings friendship, but he admits he still deals with her. However, he struggles to understand how she can still interact with Tucker. The guys then talk about family. As they talk about Tucker, Devon cites similarities with Nate, who is stunned that he is being compared with Tucker. Devon adds that the biggest difference is that Nate has proven that he has changed, while Tucker proves that he won’t. Devon has to get home to Abby and Dominic, and he thanks Nate for the drink. After, Nate approaches Audra, who explains that she is taking his advice to get inside Glacade so that she can take it from Tucker.
As Diane and Jack get to the Jazz Lounge, they see Tucker seated at the bar. They try to avoid him, but he mentions that he knows about Ashley going to Paris, which gets Jack’s attention. While Tucker thinks Ashley is going to get the answers that prove that she is wrong, Jack points out that there could also be another outcome.
