A Ruby Anniversary Special!
The Young and the Restless is set to celebrate the 40th year anniversary of the arrival of sisters, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) to Genoa City!
The standalone episode will air Friday, June 11, and will feature flashbacks and memories from the past four decades. In the latest episode of Soap Opera Digest, both Davidson and Maitland share more on the celebratory episode.
Maitland mentions that the episode is about the Abbott sisters but is also about paying homage to a loving family including their relationships with their father and brothers. She went on to say that it will be a treat for fans who have watched them throughout the years and fun for newer viewers who will see some clips for the first time.
And Davidson recognizes Executive Producer, Tony Morina, and Co-Ep/Head Writer, Josh Griffith, for bringing this celebration, which was totally unexpected and very special, to fruition.
