Y&R Recap February 7, 2024: Today on The Young and the Restless – Victor learns disturbing news, Christine and Phyllis’ rivalry takes a dangerous turn, and Tucker reveals his master plan.

Danny’s sitting at Crimson Lights when Christine strolls in. She notes that she hasn’t seen him since she spotted him kissing Phyllis. Danny acknowledges he’s been keeping a low profile and focusing on his album. Christine talks about his silence which she says speaks volume. Then, bam, Phyllis bursts in all hyped up. After some intense back and forth, Danny says he’s had enough. This love triangle drama has to stop.
Phyllis then pushes him to open up about what’s really in his heart. He notes that he’s been in the studio, doing some serious thinking. He acknowledges that Phyllis means a lot to him but he only sees her as a friend. Tensions rise, and Danny explains that he is exhausted and suggests they all take a step back and then he leaves. Christine lays into Phyllis, blaming her for wrecking everything. And just like that, the ladies declare war.

Traci’s back in town and she swings by Society, where she runs into Abby. Traci mentions she’s back solo, and Abby’s curious about where her mom is. Traci spills the beans that Ashley decided to extend her stay in Paris because she’s got a friend there to lean on. She thinks Ashley is gonna need some serious support when she eventually comes back. Traci suggests the fam come up with a game plan for handling this.
While they’re debating the events in Paris and finding out Tucker’s version is legit, Traci hints that there’s even more to the story than Ashley knows. She did a little digging herself, questioning the cafe staff who all backed up Tucker’s account. Traci kept it mum to Ashley for now, crossing her fingers that the whole fam will be there for her when she finds out. Traci also spills that she’s trying to track down Jack to spill the tea, but she’s had no luck reaching him. She tells Abby to give him a heads-up if she sees him, ’cause it’s urgent. After Traci leaves, Abby calls her mom and leaves a voicemail, reminding her how much she loves her.

In his suite, Audra grills Tucker about his plans. He tells her he’ll spill the beans soon. Tucker hands her his tablet with a list of companies that are pretty vulnerable right now. He suggests that if they merge them all into Glissade, they could make a splash in the market and create a powerhouse to rival Jabot. Audra thought this had nothing to do with Jabot, but she was clearly wrong. However, Tucker confesses he has no interest in Jabot. Putting Jabot out of business isn’t his main goal, but it’d be a nice bonus. Audra then asks where he’ll get all the cash to snap up these companies. He says he’s never had any trouble getting capital.
Later, downstairs, Tucker bumps into Traci. He knows she’s been in Paris with Ashley. But, Traci ain’t in the mood to talk about her sister with him. She makes it clear that Ashley wants nothing to do with him and he should steer clear of her.
Drunken Nikki contacts Jack to express gratitude for his help with Victor. Concerned, Jack calls her to check up on her, and she proceeds to recount the events that happened. She acknowledges feeling overwhelmed, unable to gather her thoughts. Jack advises her to leave her and go home. Despite his insistence on sending a car for her, she initially declines. Eventually, she tells him to send the car, promising to send him the address after ending the call.

Victor meets up with Jack tells him, “I hate that it’s come to this but what is happening is not fair to you and it’s going to end now.” They head to Victor’s office, where Jack reveals that he’s been acting as Nikki’s sponsor. Turns out, Nikki was dead set on keeping this from Victor. Jack explains that Nikki just didn’t want to put Victor through all of this again. After laying it all out, Jack says Nikki really needs all the support she can get. Victor is fuming and tells Jack that instead of helping her, he’s just been enabling her to drink more by keeping the truth from him. They go back and forth about Jack being Nikki’s sponsor when Nikki calls Jack saying she needs help. So, he and Victor hit the road to track her down at the bar.
