Congratulations are in order for The Young and the Restless actor Lucas Adams (Noah Newman) and his real-life wife, Shelby Wulfert! Just a week after his Y&R debut, Lucas has some exciting news to share: he’s going to be a dad. Wulfert and Adams are expecting their first child!
The news was shared by PEOPLE, who reported that the couple’s bundle of joy — whose sex they’ve decided to keep a secret — is due in February 2026.
Lucas Adams is Going to be a Dad
Three years after meeting on the set of Disney’s Liv & Maddie in 2015, the couple married in an intimate ceremony at the Chateau Hiddenwood estate in Waxahachie, Texas, on October 15, 2022.
Back then, Wulfert told PEOPLE, “This marks the beginning of really building our family together and what that means for us. We want to have kids in a couple of years, so we’re starting to prepare for that next chapter of being parents — the next chapter of our lives.”
Lucas Adams is probably best known for his role as Dr. Tripp Dalton Johnson on Days of Our Lives. A role he played from 2017–2024. During his tenure, he earned a Daytime Emmy nods for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2018 and 2019. He stepped into a new chapter on November 4, 2025, making his debut as Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless.
Currently, Noah is recovering in a hospital bed after a serious car accident. Fans were also stunned to learn his character is having an affair with a new character, Sienna Bacall. Sienna is played by Tamara Braun, his former Days onscreen mom.
