The Days of Our Lives universe is expanding! 


In the hopes to grow along with the digital world we are living in the show recently launched The DOOL App to serve as a platform to deliver the show and other original content to the fans. When the app was first released it was said that the show wanted to provide short companion episodes for its program, and we are finally going to get them with Days of Our Lives: The Digital Series. 


This marks the first time a daytime drama series has spawned original streaming content to complement the broadcast show! “This new scripted digital series was created to complement storylines while enhancing the viewer’s experience as they watch the broadcast show,” said Greg Meng, co-executive producer.


This Thursday, August 1st the first season will drop on The DOOL App and will be revolving around the fan-favorite characters Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby (Kate Mansi). “Chad and Abby in Paris” will have eight episodes. Three of which will drop on August 1st with the remaining episodes coming over the next few weeks. The companion show written by Ron Carlivati will be available on the NBC app and NBC.com one week after landing on The DOOL App.

In the first season, fans will get the unique opportunity to catch up with Chad and Abby for the first time since they left Salem several months ago before they make their long-awaited return to the show. Also starring in the series is Austin Peck who plays Austin Reed. Austin and Carrie Brady have been living in Europe for a while, and it’s said that he will make a surprise appearance in Paris. Rachele Schank will also join the cast as a new character named Juliet.
