It’s a tough goodbye to a beloved character—Doug Williams! The show pays tribute to Bill Hayes, the actor who made Doug so special, who passed away earlier this year. Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) are back in Salem just in time for Thanksgiving, but there’s some sad news: Jennifer calls Hope (Kristian Alfonso) to break the news that Jack tried to wake up her dad a while ago, but he didn’t.
Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) are back too, reminiscing about how perfect Doug and Julie were together. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) tells Marlena (Deidre Hall) the heartbreaking news that Doug has passed. And poor Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is crushed, wondering how she can carry on without Doug and promising to love him forever. Watch below!
